Virtual Care isn't just about online checkups

We’ve already introduced the Virtual Care service itself. The most frequently mentioned benefit is, of course, the time saved by not having to travel to the clinic for regular checkups. We don’t talk nearly as much about the fact that you also save time on your treatment as a whole. How is that possible?

Despite all the advanced methods of assessment and preparation, the technology behind invisible braces falls under the purview of orthodontics and medicine in general. This also means that even a well-designed treatment plan may not always go as planned. Every person is unique and responds to treatment differently.

That is why, during treatment, you may wear some aligners for longer or shorter periods than planned, or we may perform what is known as “refinement,” or correction of the final alignment. Of course, it’s also true that the more complex and demanding the changes to the teeth that a client needs to make (or if they wear braces for less time than necessary), the greater the chance that additional adjustments will be needed—our data shows that, historically, each client has required an average of three corrective splints.

We test, measure, and calculate

At Svět rovnátek, we’ve worked with various orthodontic technologies. Our “study material” consists of approximately 3,000 clients. Over the course of three months, we analyzed images captured using the My Invisalign app and collected over 10,000 sets of photos, each containing shots from different angles.

And since we don’t believe anything we haven’t tried ourselves, we not only reviewed alerts generated by AI or the client, but also evaluated customer feedback, the duration of treatment, and the speed with which we can respond to the images we receive.

What did we find out?

  • The treatment period has been shortened. We were able to successfully complete the treatment plans developed as part of the standard package (20 splints) in just six months.
  • Clients who use Virtual Care are more motivated to stick with their treatment—they can see their results and confirm that wearing invisible aligners regularly pays off.
  • The workload for our specialists who plan tooth movements has been reduced, allowing them to focus on more complex treatments— which is why we are able to accept patients with conditions that other clinics have turned away.
  • In many cases, refinement isn't necessary at all.

Once again, it becomes clear that the patient is just as much a part of the treatment as the doctor.
