For the most effective and fastest treatment, it is recommended that you wear your braces for 22 hours a day. Of course, you can take them out whenever necessary, but it’s a good idea to get into the habit of wearing them.
Try putting on the following aligner. If it doesn't fit your teeth properly yet, you'll need to go back to the previous aligner, contact us, and we'll resolve the issue.
If it’s just a filling, you should bring the current mouthguard you’re wearing to your dentist and ask him or her to shape the filling according to that mouthguard. You certainly don’t need to worry about dental hygiene—on the contrary, it’s more than appropriate.
You may experience some difficulty with pronunciation at first. However, you’ll usually get used to your braces very quickly, and neither you nor those around you will even notice them.
No, you must always remove your braces before eating—your orthodontist may only recommend eating with them on during certain stages of treatment. We do not recommend chewing gum while wearing braces, as it could stick to them. And it’s not comfortable either.
Smoking while wearing braces is fine, though it may cause the braces to change color or develop an odor. However, you’ll be getting new ones in a few days, so there’s no need to hold back.
Take out your braces as soon as you notice this. You’ll probably notice it the first time you bite down, so there shouldn’t be any damage.
You’ll quickly get used to carrying a small toothbrush and toothpaste with you. Nowadays, there are even convenient travel-size kits available. This combination cleans most effectively, and the toothpaste also freshens your breath. If you can’t brush your teeth, rinse your mouth thoroughly with clean water and brush them later.
This isn’t necessary with unsweetened drinks. Just like with smoking, the worst that can happen is that your braces might get slightly stained, but you’ll be replacing them in a few days anyway. Over time , drinking sweetened beverages can become a problem because saliva can’t properly wash away the sugar that gets trapped between your teeth and braces, which can lead to cavities.
Are you interested in clear aligners? Fill out the online form, and we’ll try to call you back the same day. If we can’t reach you, we’ll try again in the coming days. Then it’s just a matter of finding a time that works for you and when our specialist is available. The typical wait time is between 7 and 14 days.
In a single package, you receive a set of invisible aligners that are custom-made according to a treatment plan created by a dentist and a 3D clinical specialist. This package must be designed, approved by a dentist, manufactured, and shipped, which is why it typically takes two to three months from the initial scan to the start of treatment.
You’ll have your braces fitted for the first time at our clinics in Prague or Brno. During this visit, we’ll attach the brackets, show you how to put your braces on, and walk you through how to use Virtual Care.
It’s simple. Just use a brush, toothpaste, and lukewarm water. You don’t even need toothpaste during the day. For a more thorough cleaning, you can try, for example, cleaning tablets for dentures and braces, which you can easily find at a drugstore. But there’s no need to come up with any complicated methods—you’ll be replacing the set with a new one in a few days anyway.
We don’t just monitor your treatment progress through the app. You can contact us at any time if, for example, an attachment comes loose or other unexpected changes occur. At the same time, for treatment to be successful, it’s often not enough to just wear the aligners and change them regularly—we need to check whether they fit properly, whether stronger adjustments are needed, or whether the aligners need to be trimmed. Treatment with clear aligners is comprehensive, so some visits are scheduled in advance and require you to come in person.
Invisible braces actively apply pressure to the teeth and, through a planned sequence of movements, guide them into their intended position. These movements are also aided by so-calledattachments—tooth-colored composite protrusions against which the braces apply pressure. Using software, we can simulate the final position of the teeth and calculate the number of aligners needed to achieve the desired position.
An orthodontist tightens fixed braces approximately once every 6 weeks. Therefore, they must opt for more drastic measures, where tightening is accompanied by increased pressure and subsequent stagnation. In contrast, during this time, patients with invisible aligners go through two to four sets, so the pressure on the teeth is lower but constant. With slow and continuous pressure, results can be achieved more effectively than with individual adjustments.
Treatment with invisible aligners is often faster than with traditional fixed braces because it is digitally planned and precisely controlled from the start. Aligners apply gentle but continuous pressure to the teeth, allowing for more efficient movement without unnecessary pauses.
Unlike fixed braces, which may require frequent adjustments and are more prone to complications, invisible aligners offer better oral hygiene and a lower risk of treatment delays due to damage. Thanks to modern software and virtual check-ups, it is possible to closely monitor tooth movement and adjust treatment as needed.
There’s no magic involved. Using a scan, photos of your face, X-rays of your teeth, and your dentist’s examination, we can create a 3D model of your current dental condition. On the computer, we can see exactly where each tooth should fit into a beautiful smile. At the same time, we know the force exerted by the invisible aligners and how long the process will take. That’s why we can not only plan the movement in individual phases but also prepare several treatment options.
Each set is typically worn for 7–10 days, always according to your treatment plan and your dentist’s instructions. We monitor your treatment progress via a mobile app, which will notify you when it’s time for a new set of aligners or to check your current progress. Using a special attachment, you’ll take photos of your teeth both with and without the aligners. By comparingyour current status, the position of the aligners, and the treatment plan, we determine if everything is progressing as it should.
Based on your current status, the app will guide you on whether it’s time for a new set or if you need to wear the current one a little longer. If we notice any significant issues, we’ll invite you to the clinic so we can resolve everything together.
Don’t throw away your used aligner sets! If treatment isn’t going as planned, we may need to go back to the previous aligner and wear it again.
Invisible aligners are made from a single piece of clear plastic that is held in place on the teeth using discreet attachments, and they are replaced approximately once a week, unless otherwise specified by your dentist. You can change them yourself at home, and you can track your progress with the treatment plan via a mobile app. With fixed braces, metal brackets are bonded to the teeth and then tightened with a wire during regular check-ups at the orthodontist’s office. They cannot be removed, so in this case you are limited not only by aesthetics but also by foods that could loosen the brackets.
An attachment is a kind of anchor point against which the brace exerts pressure, moving the teeth into the desired position. It is made of an enamel-colored composite that is cured with light after application. At the same time, this material is softer than tooth enamel, so there is no risk of damaging the teeth when it is removed at the end of treatment.
Additional aligners may be part of the treatment. These are aligners that are custom-made outside of the original treatment plan in cases where the teeth respond differently than anticipated or the patient does not wear the aligners regularly. If the patient follows the wearing schedule, these aligners are included in the price.
Yes, each package includes the client’s first and last name, as well as the set number. The aligners themselves feature a code consisting of the letter U (upper) for the upper jaw and L (lower) for the lower jaw, combined with a number that indicates the order in which the sets follow one another.
The price depends primarily on the number of aligners you will need. The number of aligners, in turn, depends on the orthodontic issues you wish to address. The lowest prices are for packages designed to correct, for example, only the alignment of the front teeth visible when smiling; minor adjustments to the upper and lower jaws start at around 60,000 CZK, while the most complex treatments can cost over 100,000 CZK.

It depends on the patient’s age, your insurance provider, and the severity of the orthodontic condition. Generally speaking, insurance providers cover the cost of orthodontic treatment and materials only for severe developmental conditions, such as a cleft palate. Some insurance companies also provide coverage for minors, primarily for the medical procedures necessary for braces treatment, not the braces themselves—but it’s always best to check the current terms and conditions they offer. Unfortunately, insurance companies still primarily view braces as a cosmetic procedure.
The initial consultation is non-binding and completely free of charge. We prefer to see your insurance card as proof of identity, but even if you don’t have one or aren’t insured, you won’t be charged anything for the first consultation.
Of course not! You have as much time as you need to make your decision. It’s not uncommon for our clients to have questions about certain things—we expect that, too.
Retainer splints are those you wear after active treatment has ended to prevent your teeth from shifting back to their original positions. During the first month after treatment, you should wear the splints as much as possible; in the second and third months, the wearing time is gradually reduced under your dentist’s supervision. Later on, you only need to wear them at night and gradually extend the intervals between wear. An easy way to determine how often you need to wear them is to pay attention to the pressure of the retainer. If you feel pressure, you need to wear the retainer more often. As you gradually get used to it, your teeth will maintain their stability even without support.
In particular, they no longer attach to the attachments and are not designed to move, so they are even made from a slightly different material.
We are one of the few clinics that include one pair of retainers in the cost of treatment. If you’d like to purchase additional retainers to keep on hand, we offer various packages at a discounted price.
Yes, follow-up visits are necessary after braces are removed so that we can monitor whether your teeth are staying in the desired position. The first follow-up visit is after 3 months, the next after 6 months, and then once a year.
We recommend having any cavities treated before starting treatment. If you develop a cavity during treatment, don’t hesitate to let us know—you won’t be the first, nor will you be the last.
Teeth whitening and braces usually cannot be done at the same time. However, teeth whitening or dental veneers can serve as the finishing touch to treatment with invisible braces.
During your first consultation, we can provide you with several scenarios and illustrations showing what your smile would look like after braces alone and how it would differ froma combination of braces with whitening or veneers.
If you suffer from bruxism, clear aligners will serve as protection for your teeth during treatment. Due to tooth movement, neither a bruxism guard nor a sports mouthguard will fit properly during treatment. However, you are unlikely to bite through the aligner with strong pressure from your teeth while sleeping, since you only wear it for 7 days.
Invisible braces work very well forcorrecting tooth alignment, but they are not a cure-all if the root of the problem lies in the jaw itself. For example, if a patient has one jaw that is larger than the other, applying braces could cause the treated teeth to be pushed out of alignment with the jaw. In such cases, we refer the patient to an orthognathic clinic to evaluate the possibility of orthognathic surgery, which corrects the position and alignment of the jaw, thereby creating space for subsequent fine-tuning with braces. In some cases where the patient does not wish to undergo surgery, we can at least improve the aesthetics.
Technically, there’s nothing stopping you, and there’s no risk of damaging your braces. But we can’t guarantee there’ll be enough romance. 😊
No, unfortunately, we can’t schedule which doctor will see which patient. However, we strive to ensure that you receive the best possible care from all of them.
