What is Virtual Care?

Virtual Care is an innovative solution in the field of orthodontics that significantly simplifies and streamlines the treatment process using invisible aligners. Instead of frequent in-person visits to the clinic, all you need to do is upload weekly photos of your teeth to the mobile app—and we’ll take care of the rest.

How does it work?

For virtual inspections, all you need is:

• smartphone
  
• Invisalign Lens special aligner (provided by us)
  
• the My Invisalign mobile app (available for free download on the App Store and Google Play)
• a mirror during the first few days so you can see the phone's screen
  
  

Using these tools, you can take weekly photos of your teeth—both with and without braces. You can easily take the photos yourself in front of a mirror.

The app will remind you when it’s time for a checkup or a new set of splints. It will then send the photos directly to our team. They will evaluate the images using artificial intelligence and compare them with your treatment plan. The app will then let you know whether it’s time for a new set of splints or if you need to continue wearing your current splints for a little longer. If any discrepancies or issues are found, you’ll be invited to come in for a personal visit.

Benefits of Virtual Care

With fixed braces, you usually have to visit the orthodontist’s office every 6 weeks so they can tighten them. That may not sound like very often, but over the months and years you’d wear fixed braces, those frequent visits would really disrupt your schedule. In contrast, clear aligners offer:

How often do I need to go for a checkup?

Don’t worry—we won’t lose touch with you! We’ll be happy to welcome you in person for your initial checkups, the placement or removal of attachments, and other specific procedures. However, Virtual Care allows us to conduct a large part of your treatment smoothly and efficiently remotely. And of course, if any complications or issues arise, we’ll invite you to the clinic so we can resolve everything together. 

Will I be able to use the MyInvisalign app?

Don’t worry about a thing! We’ll provide you with all the information you need at the clinic. Together, we’ll install the app, log in, and walk you through the virtual checkup process. We’ll also introduce you to the Invisalign Lens aligner, which is used during the checkup. 

How do I get the app?

We’ll provide you with all the information during your initial visit. We’ll install the app together, explain everything, and set it up to make every step of your treatment easier. Virtual Care is available for both Android and iOS.
